A goal of Rescue Alliance is to train and mobilize faith communities to show love and compassion to our homeless neighbors. We believe that this is how we can build a city where everyone belongs. But, we often get questions like, "How do I approach someone on the street?" "What should I say or give to people in need?" "What if a person is experiencing mental illness"
So, on Thursday, October 5th at 7:00pm, Rescue Alliance is hosting a Homelessness and Mental Workshop.
At the workshop, we will dive deep into the experience of our homeless friends with mental health needs and learn more about the resources and services available to help. TED-Talk style presentations will be given defining the problem, offering solutions, and outlining opportunities to engage in service and care.
We'd love to see anyone and everyone join us for the event!
