Job Description

POSITION:                  Administrative Assistant (Ministry)

STATUS:                      Part-Time, 20-25 Hours/week

SUPERVISOR:              Lead Pastor, Guy Wasko

 

Summary: The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ, a mind for organization, and a passion for people. They will sweat the details and possess a "make-it-happen" leadership instinct with an eye for systems, coordinating many moving pieces, and communication while at the same time looking for opportunities for meaningful ministry. You will be:

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS

·       Responsible for managing the calendar, schedule & public email of the Church overall

·       Assisting the Lead Pastor with tasks, special projects, correspondence, emails, errands & other communication as necessary

·       The Central Hub of TGC EV Communications: Responsible for coordinating all communications for the church: including but not limited to bulletin, weekly email, website, media team etc

·       Utilizing Fellowship One database system to perform necessary functions

·       Assisting with Assimilation & connection of new members to our church (follow up communication cards)

·       Implementing Volunteer Recruitment through Planning Center platform

·       Serving as Gathering Coordinator: In cooperation with Worship Director & Tech Director, see that gatherings are setup and ready to run smoothly. Coordinate with Team Leaders and support as necessary. (2-3 hours Sunday)  

·       Supporting Youth Ministry with data entry & administration as needed

·       Managing EV office, supplies & cleanliness (when appropriate)

·       Coordinating with other TGC administrative teams as needed (communications, Central events)

·       Serving as coordinator of TGC East Village event planning & special projects

·       Assisting Kids Ministry with volunteer coordination, background checks etc

Preferred requirements include:

·       3+ years experience in Administrative work

·       3+ years experience serving in a church of 200+ or more OR comparable experience

·       Familiar with Apple products & Microsoft Office software along & database systems.

·       Valid Drivers License (preferred)
